About Us

Our Values

We believe in natural horsemanship and we encourage our horses to be just “horses” by keeping them as natural as possible. They are barefoot and any riding is done without the use of a bit. They are given plenty of freedom to move around and graze, spending time as a herd.

We respect our horses as sentient beings and their emotional wellbeing is paramount to us. For this reason, we believe in always giving them a choice during the Equine Facilitated Learning work.

We do not use horses to practice Horse Assisted Wellbeing, instead we work together with our horses as facilitators in their own right.

We subscribe to the principles outlined in The Compassionate Equestrian, by Schoen and Gordon (2015) and we are committed to the highest standards of ethical practice. You can read here our Animal Welfare Policy.

We are also a verified member of Progressive Equine Partnerships (PEP), https://progressiveequinepartnerships.com, a network of Equine Professionals and Establishments who are putting the welfare of the horses at the forefront of their practices, adhering to pain and fear free methods.
